Monday Message From The Mayor & Police Chief: Please Stay at Home

By Staff
Apr. 6, 2020: Below is an audio message sent by Bronxville Chief of Police, Christopher Satriale, and Mayor Mary Marvin on April 6, 2020, at 7:27 PM.
In this message, Chief Satriale reports that positive cases of COVID 19 have tripled in Bronxville since the village first starting tracking cases. He also says that now more than ever, people need to follow the recommendations of Dr. Anthony Fauci and practice social distancing practices to "flatten the curve."
Chief Satriale says that locally, "we have seen a great deal of cooperation with social distancing requests and stay at home orders" but that "some still continue to violate" these orders. He says that the Bronxville Police will be enforcing the $1,000 fine recently set by Governor Cuomo.
He asked people to "Stay home. Stay Safe and Save Lives."
Mayor Marvin said that Bronxville has always had a strong reputation as a community "that rallies around each other in times of crisis."
She asked people "to reach out to a neighbor" by phone or email "just to check in on them, make sure they have adequate food and medicine, and some needed conversation."
Finally, she said that "the kindest thing you can do right now today is to stay home."
