Apr. 11, 2018: The Bronxville Board of Trustees welcomed newly elected trustees William Barton and Mark Wood and newly elected justice William Primps at its April 9 annual meeting. At the same time, Mayor Mary Marvin and the board bid farewell and expressed deep appreciation for the service of outgoing trustees Anne W. Poorman and Guy Longobardo and retiring justice George McKinnis.
Justice George Mayer, now the court’s senior justice, administered the oath of office to Primps, who, as his first official duty as justice, administered the oath to trustees Barton and Wood.

In thanking Poorman and Longobardo for their dedication to the village, Mayor Marvin noted that, between them, they gave over 30 years of volunteer service to village government. She lauded their professionalism and intellect and the skills they brought to their positions. “You cared deeply about how every decision affected every villager,” Marvin said. “I have always thought of you as stewards of the village.”
Justice McKinnis served on the Village Justice Court for 24 years. Marvin thanked McKinnis for the intellect, sense of fairness, and sympathetic nature he established as hallmarks of the village court. “You always set a high standard,” Marvin said, “and you always talked to me about what would be in the best interest of the village.” She stated that McKinnis’s most lasting contribution to the court will be his restorative justice program, which focuses on rehabilitation and reconciliation as a means to reestablishing a productive life.
Eastchester Town Supervisor Anthony Colavita welcomed Barton, Wood, and Primps to Bronxville village government and commended Poorman, Longobardo, and McKinnis for their many years of commitment to the community.
